The
Individual Reading Inventory
Sometimes
called informal reading inventories, these simple tools provide
a quick tool to assess the students reading ability.
This
inventory is a series of graded word lists and oral reading
paragraphs. The student reads the lists and paragraphs, then
answers comprehension questions. The student continues until
the administrator has found the students:

This
allows the teaching parent to know what grade level to assign
independently, which to use for direct instruction, and which
to either avoid or to read aloud to the student.
